R. Kane Maurer is the author of The Forbidden Powers book series. The first novel in the series, entitled The Cup in the Shadows, is his first published novel. The Forbidden Powers is planned as a trilogy.

Maurer lives in Hershey, Pennsylvania with is family. When he is not working on the sequel to The Cup in the Shadows, you can find him reading and traveling.
